Small businesses often struggle to establish a professional online presence due to high upfront costs, unclear pricing, and a lack of technical knowledge around hosting, domains, and ongoing maintenance. Cloudyne’s goal was to position itself as a trustworthy, affordable, and modern web solution for small businesses that want clarity and reliability without complexity.
The challenge was to design a business website that clearly communicates value, builds trust quickly, and guides potential clients toward enquiry, while avoiding the intimidating or overly technical feel common in hosting and web service providers.
In colour theory, blue is commonly associated with trust, reliability, and professionalism—qualities that are especially important for a business offering web, domain, and hosting services. This made blue a natural choice for the primary colour, helping Cloudyne establish credibility and reassurance at first glance.
To complement this, orange was selected as the secondary accent colour. As a complementary contrast to blue, it provides clear visual emphasis for calls to action and key interactive elements. This contrast helps users immediately recognise where action is required, while maintaining balance and avoiding visual overload.
